Film Curatorial Practices

 

Katha Centre for Film Studies August 2011 workshopThe workshop conducted by the Katha Centre for Film Studies and the India Foundation for the Arts, supported by Jamshedji Tata Trust and in association with Dr. Bhau Daji Lad Museum, brought together five eminent film curators, several experts on film and art practices and 20 participants from all over India. Spread over five days, the workshop introduced and equipped the participants to the newly emerging field of film curation both as concept as well as practice.

Co-curated by aspiring young film curators and a team of experienced film professionals - Amrit Gangar, Shai Heredia, Ravi Vasudevan, Kabir Mohanty and Mukul Kishore and CS Venkiteswaran - participants benefited from a hands-on opportuntity to learn the mechanics of film programming.
